Managed Specialty Care is a new service that will be growing in 2012. It started as an educational concept for personal care attendants/caregivers. Giving people some basic knowledge of multiple sclerosis and helping them apply that knowledge in personal care attendant situations. It has evolved into an agency that not only provides the training but the personal care attendant service as well.

So, I have joined up with a very good friend to start providing personal care to people with ms. We are currently building a network of caring individuals who will have training and on-going education of multiple sclerosis to care for people who deal with it every day.

We are currently accepting applications for personal care attendants and we intend to be able to start helping people with ms to enjoy a higher quality of life.
In addition to training and on-going education, our personal care attendants will be also be highly informed of the service of the National MS Society and (when appropriate) encouraging participation in wellness programs, support groups, educational programs. 

Much like caregivers in other agencies, Managed Specialty Care will provide similar services as most home health care agency but with a much more detailed understanding of the intricacies of multiple sclerosis.
